What is an orthodontist?
An orthodontist is an expert in the dental specialty of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
The orthodontist is involved in the practice of intercepting and correcting irregularities of the teeth,
as by the use of braces.

What does “board-certified orthodontist” mean?
It means that the orthodontist has achieved the highest honor from the American Board of Orthodontics.
In order to become board-certified, an orthodontist must undergo five years of preparation, including a comprehensive written exam, and an intense critical evaluation by a panel of nationally
renowned orthodontists.

Why should I get braces?
It’s simple. Braces result in a correct bite, with straighter teeth and a beautiful smile. What may seem a hassle to you now will positively impact your appearance for the rest of your life. Beautiful smiles lead to more promising futures.
